Insurance and rental conditions
We want the rental terms to be clear even before booking. On this page you will find the most important information about insurance, customer liability and basic rental terms.
When making the reservation, the customer accepts Valuerent Oy's general rental terms and conditions.
Insurance
The camper van has comprehensive comprehensive insurance for rental use for the entire rental period.
The insurance applies to damages according to the insurance terms and conditions. In the event of damage, the customer must always contact Valuerent immediately so that we can provide the correct instructions.
Customer's share of liability in the event of a claim
The customer's liability for damages covered by the insurance is a maximum of:
- Glass damage: 500 €
- Crash or collision in the Nordic countries: 1500 €
- Crash or collision outside the Nordic countries: 3000 €
If the cost of repairing the damage is less than the above-mentioned liability share, the customer will only be charged the actual cost of repair.
Reducing the share of responsibility
The customer can reduce the liability for collision and collision damage by 500 euros by purchasing an additional service for 20 € / day.
In this case, the customer's share of responsibility is:
- In the Nordic countries: 1000 €
- Outside the Nordic countries: 2500 €
The additional service only applies to collision and collision damage. It does not apply to glass damage.
Damages and situations not covered by insurance
If the damage is not covered by the insurance or is caused by use contrary to the rental conditions, the customer is fully responsible for the damage and the resulting costs.
Such situations may include, for example:
- wrong fuel
- loss or damage of the key
- smoking in the car
- Damage, odors, or extra cleaning needs caused by pets
- intentional damage
- gross negligence
- Using the car in violation of the rental terms and conditions
- damage that is not reported to Valuerent immediately
What to do in the event of an accident?
If the car is damaged, do the following:
- First, ensure the safety of people.
- If necessary, contact the emergency number 112.
- Report the damage to Valuerent
- Do not continue driving if it could worsen the damage.
- Take pictures of the damage, the car and the situation.
- Wait for instructions before taking corrective action unless it is an immediate safety situation.

However, damage must always be reported to Valuerent immediately.
Roadside assistance
Towing and roadside assistance without deductible when assistance is ordered from the roadside assistance number.

Otherwise, the customer's share of the roadside assistance liability is 100 €.
Basic rental terms and conditions in brief
The driver
The driver must have a valid B driving license. All drivers must be registered in advance.
Permitted area of use for the campervan
You can travel by car within Finland and Europe, unless otherwise agreed. Travel outside Finland must be reported in advance.
During the winter season, the range of use may be limited due to studded tires.
Smoking
Smoking in the car is prohibited.
Pets
Small, clean and calm pets are allowed by prior arrangement.
The owner of the pet is responsible for all damage, odors, stains, hair and additional cleaning caused by the pet.
Fuel
The car will be returned with the same amount of fuel as it was at the time of delivery, unless otherwise agreed.
Campervan return
The car will be returned at the agreed time and place.
Before returning, the customer must:
– remove your own belongings and trash
– wash the used dishes
– return the equipment to its place
– empty the greywater tank
– empty and flush/wash the toilet cassette
– return the car in a clean condition
If return, cleaning or additional services have been agreed separately, we will act as agreed.
Delayed return
If the car is returned late without a separate agreement, an additional fee may be charged for the lateness according to the rental terms.
